Giving You Purpose

If you are reading these pages about the calling of God, it is likely that you already have a sense of call, or you want God to call you. Finding God's purpose for our lives does not always come easily. Often there are tears and obstacles along the way. Someone once wrote : 'If God calls you to serve then do it. Find a way. If doors close then go through a window.'

You may possibly feel you have blown it in your Christian life too many times before, and you think you are now disqualified from the race. Well, you are not. You are still in the race, and God wants you now to succeed. The past is behind you. Repent of past sins and set your course on following Jesus no matter what the cost. He is worth it !

The world is full of lost and hurting people in need. Part of your task will be to reach some of those people. Part of your task will also be to be a blessing to the Church. The specifics or emphasis of those tasks only God knows. It may be God will ask you to move house or job or even country. He may ask you to take a secular job or one that is full time with the Church. It is our readiness to say YES to his call that he is looking for. You are unique and God your Heavenly Father has a unique purpose for your life. If you have not discovered it before, then why not let today be the first day of seeking and obeying the call of God on your life.
