Street Prayer Team

For a long time at EBC we've been seeking God about ways of reaching the people of Netherton. Apart from all the many programmes that we run for just about every age group of the community we felt that there must be a way to take church out of the building to people who'd never normally come to church groups or programmes.

So now we're going out to the shopping areas and places where teens and others hang out to offer to pray for people. The first seventeen adults have just signed up to join the team as well as others who have promised to pray for us whenever we go out onto the streets to pray. (We'll be wearing official EBC Street Prayer Team tops). Jesus wants to show his miracle power and compassion for the people of this area and beyond.

People are, amazingly, just turning up at church and becoming Christians. It's wonderful to see but we long for many many more than a few new Christians each month. We want to work and pray to reach the very large harvest that is all around us and see the fulfillment of God's promise.
